Project overview

The Brisbane showgrounds, established in 1875, engaged Jensen Bowers to monitor a boundary wall's movement and potential encroachment. Using a high-definition laser scanner, the team captured detailed spatial data to verify any encroachment and over a period measure what distance the wall is moving. This approach provided engineers with measurements to assess movement rates and determine necessary remedial work. The captured data supports architects and structural engineers in wall redesign planning. This methodology eliminated complications associated with traffic management, night work scheduling, public disruption, and surveyor safety risks on roadways.
